Incidence of discitis in endoscopic spine surgery

Aim of the study was to retrospectively evaluate incidence discitis amongst patients undergoing endoscopic spine surgery. Material and Methods: A total 116 were included in which underwent discectomy. Patients followed up postoperative period for any backpain. They evaluated clinically subjected laboratory radiological investigations establish diagnosis discitis. given IV antibiotics initially 4 weeks those not responding treatment treated by surgical intervention. All clinically, MRI. RESULTS: Out 116,two suffered from One them responded medical management whereas other one required debridement. CONCLUSION: Discitis following discectomy is although a rare complication .But whenever encountered should be aggressively with appropriate if needed intervention resorted as well.
